Melie Kerr blasts highest score in women’s ODI history

White Ferns teenager Amelia Kerr has smashed her way into cricketing folklore with a world record knock.

Her unbeaten 232, set when batting through the entire White Ferns innings, set a new benchmark for the highest score in women’s ODI history.

Opening the innings, Kerr, 17, struck 31-fours and two-sixes in her 145-ball knock – that bettered Australian Belinda Clark’s previous record of 229 – as New Zealand, for the third time in six days, posted 400-plus runs.
