CSW Orienteering 2019 Update – Event 2 & 3

After a break over the school holidays, the CSW series continues this Sunday with CSW 2 at Karori Cemetery.

The start/finish is at the Ian Galloway cricket club rooms, with parking on the surrounding streets.  Bring your gear up to the start/finish and support other runners from your school.  Spectators are welcome to go for a walk around the cemetery to see runners, we also encourage parents to have a go themselves.   Starts are between 11 am and 1 pm. See https://www.orienteering.org.nz/events/csw-3-2/ for some more details.

We then have CSW 3 a week later on 12 May at Queen Elizabeth Park, more details will be added to https://www.orienteering.org.nz/events/woa-oy4/ and I will send out another email reminder next week.

At the beginning of June, Wellington Orienteering Club is hosting the QB weekend competition with two days in the sand dune forest up the coast, and a day of sprints in Palmerston North.  This weekend includes a regional schools competition, and there is usually two teams from Wellington which compete.  There are courses available to suit all abilities, so encourage your students to come along and have a go.  More details are at https://wellingtonorienteering.org.nz/events/qb19/  or feel free to send me an email with any questions.

See you on Sunday!
