Entries Open – 2020 Hurricanes Under 14 Rugby Festival

In 2018, College Sport Wellington and Wellington Rugby Football Union ran a pilot under 14 festival.  Based on the positive experiences and feedback from the last two years, we will again run the festival in 2020.

Similar to the Hurricanes Under 15 tournament played in Upper Hutt, the festival is played during secondary schools winter tournament.  The tournament will be played at Wakefield Park artificial in Wellington City.

The aim of the festival is not high performance, but rather to try to engage students under 14 with the game of rugby.

There will be NO FINALS.  Think of it as a school camp with just happens to have some rugby games attached to it.

It is hoping that students within school that haven’t had a chance to play during the year, get an opportunity to play.  Last year there were 24 players involved that did not play rugby for the school in that year.
