College Sport Wellington Update – Sport at Alert Level 2, 14 August 2020
Dear students, staff, family members, partners and supporters of College Sport Wellington,
Following this evening’s announcement by the Prime Minister, we are pleased to advise that College Sport Wellington competitions will continue under Alert Level 2 conditions. In step with future government reviews of the Alert Levels, we will naturally monitor the situation and advise any changes at the appropriate times.
At this time, we remind everyone that for secondary school to proceed under Alert Level 2, matches are to remain spectator free. This ensures that schools can manage the 100 person gathering limit. Please respect the wishes of the schools, and do your part to ensure our students can continue their competitions.
Lastly, in line with Ministry of Health recommendations, please remember:
- Wash hands regularly. Sanitise when entering and leaving the facility. Cough / sneeze into your elbow.
- Sanitisation is important – clean gear before and after.
- Maintain physical distancing of 1m when not playing sport.
- Please stay home if you are sick or unwell.
