Rugby Convenor – Sacred Heart College (Lower Hutt)

Sacred Heart College (Lower Hutt) are looking for a passionate Rugby Convenor for the 2022 season and beyond.

The school has a 1st XV in the Regional Premier Competition and a 7’s Team who are keen to qualify for the Condor 7’s Tournament in Auckland.

We are looking for someone to motivate and recruit players and keep families in the loop with trainings and games. The convenor will secure coaches and managers and oversee the smooth running of the teams.

Sports Coordinator – St Catherine’s College

We are seeking a motivated person with a passion for engaging teenage girls in physical activity whilst also striving for excellence.  This is a permanent position for 20 hours per week (term time only) commencing 26 January 2022.

Good communication and organisation skills, IT skills and basic financial skills are important.  Support of the Special Character of the College is essential.

Coaching Vacancies – Porirua College

Porirua College is a vibrant school looking to continue our growth within our Sporting Programme in 2022. We have had an increase in teams over the years and look to continue building. We are wanting to bring in people that can help maintain and nurture our Rangatahi upholding our core values to make them better athletes but more importantly so better people.

We are looking for a number of Voluntary coaches for 2022 for the following codes.

Coaching Vacancies – Onslow College

At Onslow College, we embrace the values shared by Sport New Zealand and abide by College Sport Wellington’s code of conduct for coaches, players, officials, and spectators. We currently have 1340 students enrolled and 56% are involved in sports’ teams and activities. We are among a small group of secondary schools with the highest participation rates in Wellington. We promote and support the ‘Sport New Zealand Balance is Better’ philosophy along with the ‘Good Sports Coaching’ promotion.

2022 Vacancies

BASKETBALL
In 2021, we had more than 110 registered players across 7 boys’ teams and 3 girls’ teams. Our Senior A boys finished top 4 of a very even Championship Division 1 and our Senior A Girls won Championship Division 2 . Our basketball community is well supported through the Sports Department and a Volunteers Group.

Vacancies:
Head Coach, Senior A (Boys)
Various Junior and Senior coaching opportunities (TBC)

Preseason training commences in February with teams finalised in April. The season commences in May with Senior games played on a Friday night and Junior games played on a Tuesday night. Senior A games are primarily played at the ASB Centre in Kilbirnie with other grades (and junior games) played throughout Wellington and the Kapiti Coast. Our Senior A and Junior A boys take part in Winter Tournament Week at the end of August (at the conclusion of the CSW season).


FOOTBALL
In 2021, we had more than 140 registered players across 7 boys’ teams and 2 girls’ teams. Our 1st XI Girls finished won the Girls Premier 1 Division and our 1st XI Boys finished in the Top 4 of the Boys Premier Youth Grade. Our football community is well supported through the Sports Department and a Volunteers Group.

Preseason training commences in February with teams finalised in April. The season commences in May with (boys) games played on a Saturday morning across Wellington, the Kapiti Coast, and Wairarapa. Our 1st XI takes part in Winter Tournament Week which commences on the 29th of August (at the conclusion of the CSW season).


NETBALL
In 2021, we had 90 registered players across 9 teams. Our Senior A team competed in the Premier Reserve 4 grade. Our netball community is well supported through the Sports Department and a Volunteers Group.

Preseason training commences in February with teams finalised in April. The season commences in May with games on a Saturday at the ASB Sports Centre in Kilbirnie. Our Senior A team takes part in Winter Tournament Week at the end of August (at the conclusion of the NWC season).


HOCKEY
In 2021, we had 68 registered players across 3 boys’ teams and 2 girls’ teams. Our 1st XI boys were finalists in the P1 grade, and our 1st XI girls were finalists in the P2 grade. Our hockey community is well supported through the Sports Department and a Volunteers Group.

Preseason training commences in February with teams finalised in April. The season commences in May with the 1st XI teams playing on a Friday night and other grades playing mid-week. All games are played at the regional hockey turfs. Our 1st XI boys and girls take part in Winter Tournament Week at the end of August (at the conclusion of the WH season).

With an increase from 4 teams to 14 in one year, and plans to increase that by even more, we are reaching out for help with our Junior and Senior teams. 2ndXI Football Coach – Tawa College

Voluntary position

Tawa College is seeking expressions of interest for a boys 2nd XI football coach for 2022 and beyond.

The role of the 2nd XI coach is to work alongside the 1st XI coach and other coaches to grow and develop the football pathway at Tawa College.

We’re looking for a dedicated and organised individual with a passion for football, able to commit to two trainings a week and Saturday morning games.

The role involves:

  • Running wider preseason trainings in early 2022 for talent identification
  • Working alongside the 1st XI coach to select a team to take into the season
  • Develop a training programme to facilitate effective training sessions
  • Help develop a strong player pathway from junior to senior 1st/2nd XI football

Voluntary Position

Sacred Heart College (Lower Hutt) are looking for an experienced 1st XI Coach for the 2022 season and beyond.

The school currently has 3 girl’s teams and is looking for a passionate head coach to grow and develop Football at Sacred Heart. The successful applicant with have a passion football and have a developmental approach with a view to developing pathways for girl’s football within the school.

Our first team currently play in Regional Premier 2 on a Wednesday evening around the Wellington Region.
